Even
after rising cases of several university students being murdered in
cold blood in the name of love affair has been highlighted in the media
houses,yet another incident has occurred this time round in Marige
location, Kigumo division in Kiambu county, where a 25 year old woman
was gang raped by four different men on Tuesday night at around 8.00 pm
and left to die.
The
incident which took place approximately 300 meters away from a local
pub named 'madam p' where the
victim was having a drinking spree with her boyfriend and four of his
male friends. It is reported that when alcohol had taken the better part
of their sobriety, that is when hey had engaged in a heated argument
resulting to the four male friends storming out of the club leaving the
two lovebirds who went on drinking late into the night.
It
was only after a few hours after the night fall when the group of the
angry friends who had plotted to revenge on the innocent drunk couple
pounced on the unsuspecting pair at the nearby coffee plantation as they
were leaving for home. The four
attacked them inflicting bruises and severe damages on his body. It was
after then that the boyfriend took to his heels to save his dear life
leaving behind his helpless girlfriend to the delight of the four men
who gang raped the girl until her demise.
The
deceased's boyfriend who had reported the matter to the Githunguri
police station was later to be arrested and help the police team in
tracing the culprits. Their search was not in vain as they managed to
track two of the alleged rapists and got arrested as the remaining two
are said to have relocated to Mombasa for their hideout. The
police officers had also gone back to the madam p club where the victim
was seen last before she died. the bar owners had helped identify the
culprits who were detained at the Githunguri police station together
withe victims boyfriend.
Confirming
the incident, the deputy OCS Kigumo division Otieno said that after
they got the information about the incident him and his team had tracked
and arrested the two culprits as the search continues. He also affirmed
that they will be arraigned in court as soon as all evidence has been
found inspector Otieno thus urged the public to be very
vigilant especially as we approach the festive seasons citing that
murderes and rapists usually take advantage of such times.
